Future Falcon Basketball – An Opportunity to Take Control

Hello Everyone (Current 3rd-8th grade)

With all of the changes/cancellations/postponements it is easy to be consumed with what-ifs and unknowns. Our Woodinville Select Boys basketball community is not immune to this, however if we step back and ask ourselves what CAN we do in order to make the most out of the current situation we will find ways to accomplish amazing things.

We are want to give our FUTURE FALCON players a goal, something to shoot for (no pun intended), and something positive to focus on in this unusual time–becoming part of the Falcon Five Thousand Club!!  The details and tracking sheet are linked below.

A couple of items of note:

  •  Future Falcons:  Please don’t limit yourself to 5000.  With team sports taking a break there is more time to improve your individual skills.  Why not 10,000?  With other sports and school shut down you have fewer obligations and more time.  Since improving basketball shooting and ball handling is a player, ball, and hoop opportunity, it fits perfectly for our current situation!
  • Parents:  I ask for you to help create excitement and momentum.  Please parents, post pictures and videos on the Woodinville Select Facebook page.  Post in team challenges if you will like, and provide me feedback on what the club can do to help.

Let’s not allow our Future Falcons to become stagnant or frozen in the unknown, lets give them something to grab ahold of and achieve!!  Allow them to imagine how next year’s season will look if all of our Future Falcon players make themselves better shooters, and them help them achieve it.

GO FALCONS and if you have any questions please let me know.

Matt, Director Woodinville Select Boys basketball
